Shipping method

To protect components during delivery, Montague cannot be laid horizontally during shipping or risk having other parcels placed on top. Due to the size and value of Montague Bikes, orders from this site are delivered by TNT courier or equivalent to your door.

You must sign upon delivery.

Shipping for Accessories is by Australia Post / e Parcel unless purchased at the same time as a bike. Freight costs for accessories are free when shipped with bikes.

Signed Delivery - Read Carefully

All BIKE deliveries must be signed for. You must provide a suitable accurate address where someone is available to sign/accept. Enter this address at Check Out stage.

This can be home address where someone can sign, or a work address as ALL deliveries occur during business hours. 

Whilst our warehouse makes every effort to provide tracking information so you have an idea of the day and date of delivery, courier companies do not provide specific delivery times. For specific times, you should call the courier company with the tracking information provided and they may be able to assist further on the day.

If you work home or are at home permanently, you may provide this address for delivery.

IMPORTANT NOTE: If no-one is present to sign for your bike, it will be sent to the courier depot closest to you and you may be required to collect it, pay re-delivery fees or it may be sent back to us. For this reason we recommend business/workplace deliveries.

Flat rate shipping fee - Australia

Each Montague Bike is delivered in a custom, double thick box with dimensions H78 cm x W33 cm x L94 cm and weighs 10-15 kgs (Montague) or 15-20kg (SwissBike) when packed in its shipping box. Of course the bikes are lighter in real life! 

Due to their size we offer Australia-wide shipping at a flat rate of just $55.00 (inc GST) – no matter how remotely located you are! 

Accessories are shipped nationally at flat rates commensurate with size/weight. 

If you are outside Australia, an additional fee may be charged after checkout depending on your exact location. We will contact you if this is required. 

Flat rate shipping fee - New Zealand

Customers from New Zealand may purchase from from this site. Bikes are shipped ex GST and this is shown on the commercial invoice/value for all goods going to New Zealand. 

Our checkout cannot remove the AU GST for NZ customers at this stage. So the GST which is already included in all RRPs shown are counted towards subsidising a low flat rate shipping amount of $99 per bike, no matter where you are in New Zealand. 



New Zealand Customers Please note: If you purchase over NZ$400 worth of goods, you will be required to pay NZ GST of 15% on  top at New Zealand customs along with any other relevant duties. Customers are liable for all costs on entry, please factor this into your plans. 
In general freight costs applied on this site do not include insurance. If you wish to obtain some insurance for orders travelling outside Australia, please email us after you place your order as this can be arranged via our freight carriers.

If you dispute your GST payment with NZ Customs or delay collection of your goods from our courier depot in New Zealand, which results in the purchase being rejected and sent back to Australia, a partial refund will come into effect. This refund will reflect the purchase price of your bikes minus the costs of freight to New Zealand and back to Australia.

Delivery limitations

From time-to-time customers wish to receive their bikes just prior to going on a trip, long ride or adventure. We do not recommend leaving your purchase to the last minute because there may not be enough time for delivery, or there may not have enough time to check the bike or get used to riding it, or to add accessories such as racks etc

We do our absolute best to get it to you as soon as possible. We do this by:

• Letting you know on this site if certain bikes are “out of stock”

• Processing and dispatching fully paid orders within 24 hours

• Providing a tracking number and freight company details to you for convenience.

We cannot guarantee when your order will be delivered. When your order leaves our warehouse, it is in the hands of national courier and freight companies. These companies have their own processes, timelines and tracking capabilities and we have no control over the speed or timing of your delivery. We cannot accept responsibility if your order arrives after you wish to receive it. We encourage you to place orders early :)

Availability

Montague and SwissBike are established international brands and demand for these bikes is extremely high.

We endeavour to ship your bike within 3-7 days when in stock and we will contact you if there is a further waiting time. We dispatch in 24 hours and delivery timeframes depend on your location.

Returns or exchanges

In the rare instance where a Montague bicycle needs to be returned/exchanged, our policy is in line with consumer laws. An exchange or return may be granted by notifying us immediately if: 

• There is a basic, serious manufacturing fault that has been identified within 7 days

• It does not do the job it was purchased it for (this is not the same as "change of mind")

• It does not match the example viewed by you on this site (e.g is the wrong model)

Refunds or exchanges for products on this site will need to be sent back in full packaging, un-damaged to:

Please send with all packaging and your receipt. Please ensure your full name, address and phone numbers(s) are included so we can arrange shipping of replacement bicycles.

Customers returning or exchanging will bare the cost of return freight, exchange freight and any difference in price between the models.
